I want to congratulate the YAP crew for running the Angling4begginners event at the Plump this Year,i was unable to run the event this year due to my wife being in hospital.Turned out to be fantastic weather,and the fishing was pretty good as well.Every angler managed to catch a fish which is a fantastic acheivment as at least 40 kids had never even picked up a rod or pole before.

Thank to Shimano uk,Wye angling and Celtic Baits for their continued Support.

The raffle was a huge success managing to raise £97 for the Forest of Dean Angling Club.

Newent Onion Fayre

I was coaching for YAP on the weekend, at the fayre what an amazing day!! we managed to coach 209 kids on the Newent town lake in 7 hours. The EA were hand with the aquarium in which we managed to put in Roach,skimmers,perch and an eel,this provided a lot of interest by passers by.

The weather stayed fine all day and all the kids went home with a whip and a goodie bag.

Well done to all the members of YAP for the professional day.
